Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 January 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in contests organized by Indian Art Contest (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the Organizer”) through the website artcontest.in (the “Contest”). By registering, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not register or submit an entry.
1. Eligibility
1.1. The Contest is open to residents of India, across the following age categories: Preschool (2–6 years), Children (7–15 years), and Adult (16–80 years).
1.2. Entrants in the Preschool and Children categories must be registered and represented by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted and for compliance with these Terms on the minor’s behalf.
1.3. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Organizer involved in running or judging the Contest are not eligible to participate in the same season.
1.4. The Organizer reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entry that does not meet these requirements.
2. Registration & Fees
2.1. Participation requires completing registration and paying the applicable entry fee for the number of artworks being submitted (1 to 10 per registration), as listed on the Registration page at the time of entry.
2.2. Entry fees are payable online through our payment partner. Prices, discounts, and offers may change between seasons and are not guaranteed to be available retroactively.
2.3. Registration fees are non-refundable, except as specifically described in our Refund Policy. Completing registration does not guarantee selection as a winner.
2.4. You may register before your artwork is ready and submit it later, provided submission is completed before the stated deadline for that season. Late submissions after the deadline will not be accepted, and no refund will be issued for entries that are registered but not submitted in time.
3. Artwork Submission
3.1. Submissions must be original, handmade work created by the entrant (or, for minors, with guidance limited to age-appropriate assistance). Submissions must not copy, trace, or substantially reproduce another person’s work, copyrighted characters, or third-party intellectual property.
3.2. There is no fixed theme, medium, or size requirement. Photography is not an eligible category and photographic entries will not be considered.
3.3. Entrants must submit clear photographs of their artwork along with proof of payment through the designated submission form, before the stated deadline.
3.4. By submitting an entry, you confirm that you are the original creator of the artwork (or the parent/guardian submitting on a minor’s behalf) and that you have the right to submit it for judging.
3.5. The Organizer is not responsible for entries that fail to submit correctly due to technical issues, incorrect uploads, or missed deadlines on the entrant’s part.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1. Entrants retain full ownership of their artwork at all times. Submitting an entry does not transfer copyright or ownership to the Organizer.
4.2. By submitting an entry, you grant the Organizer a limited, non-exclusive right to view, reproduce, and display the artwork solely for the purposes of judging, certificate issuance, result announcement, and internal contest administration.
4.3. The Organizer may publish, post on social media, or feature any entry publicly, including in the e-magazine.
4.4. All images appearing on the Organizer’s website and marketing materials remain the property of the respective artists and may not be reproduced, copied, or reused by third parties without permission.
5. Judging & Results
5.1. Entries are reviewed by a panel of jurors selected by the Organizer based on relevant skill, creativity, and technique appropriate to the category. Juror identities may be kept confidential to preserve fairness.
5.2. Judging decisions are final. The Organizer does not enter into correspondence regarding individual scores or rankings.
5.3. Results will be announced on the date communicated for that season, on the website and/or through the contact details provided at registration. The Organizer is not liable for delays caused by factors outside its reasonable control.
6. Prizes & Certificates
6.1. Every participant who completes registration and submits a qualifying entry will receive a National Level E-Certificate, issued digitally, typically within 2 hours of submission.
6.2. Prize amounts, structure, and the free e-magazine feature for that season will be as described on the website at the time of registration. The Organizer reserves the right to adjust prize structures between seasons.
6.3. Where applicable under Indian tax law, prize winners are responsible for any taxes (including TDS) due on cash prizes, and the Organizer may deduct or report amounts as legally required.
6.4. Certificates and prizes are non-transferable and have no cash-equivalent value beyond what is stated.
7. Code of Conduct
7.1. Entries must not contain obscene, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful content. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates this clause without refund.
7.2. Entrants agree not to misrepresent their identity, age category, or the originality of their work.
8. Disclaimer Regarding Meta Platforms
This Contest is organized independently by Indian Art Contest and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (Facebook or Instagram) in any way. Any information you provide is provided to Indian Art Contest and not to Meta. By participating, you release Meta from any liability connected to this Contest.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1. The Contest is provided “as is.” The Organizer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation, including technical failures, payment gateway issues, or delays caused by third-party services.
9.2. The Organizer’s total liability in connection with the Contest is limited to the entry fee paid by the entrant.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected during registration is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to that processing.
11. Third-Party Links & Services
The website and Services may link to or rely on third-party platforms, including our payment gateway and our artwork submission form. Once you leave artcontest.in through one of these links, you are governed by that third party’s own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or performance.
12. Changes & Cancellation
11.1. The Organizer reserves the right to modify these Terms, contest dates, fee structure, or prize structure at any time, with changes effective upon posting to this page.
11.2. In the event the Contest is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control, the Organizer will communicate this on the website, and refund eligibility (if any) will follow the Refund Policy.
